Companies are now looking for a better gender mix at work place to enhance company image and revenues. Many companies have adopted a change in policies about women employees now. From the beginning of this year a number of mega corporate houses have announced extended maternity leaves. The government is also considering this proposal. Many private companies have showered their female talent with generous offers like extended leaves for maternity, adoption, even surrogacy. Career experts believe that the present corporate scenario is supportive of working women. Number of women candidates who have taken break want to resume work. The number is more in metro cities but it is also increasing more in Tier II cities.
