WNS, a business process management company had begun a training program for college students to improve employability skills. This program is designed to train over 1000 students from tier 2 and tier 3 cities in the next six months. The program will be spread across 35 colleges in seven cities – Nashik, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Pune, Kaziranga, Chandigarh and Vizag. It has a 40 hour curriculum spread over two months. The students are trained in English, Excel and Soft- Skills. The main objective of this oprhram is to upskill the students from tier 2 and tier 3 cities to improve the chances of getting selected in employment process with English language communication skills and soft-skills. The training program will be based on the Nasscom Qualification Packs – which were created by the industry body’s sector skills council for various roles.
