Assessment tools to evaluate a candidate for senior positions have been changed as per a study conducted by a research firm. Earlier assessment tests (tools) were used to determine a ‘go / no-go’ decision on a candidate’s suitability for a position. But now there is a need of sophisticated tools to measure output. “Now, the tools are used to determine the overall ‘fitment’ of the candidate to the organization, with the understanding that there are ‘many shades of grey,’ and that the organization needs to look at the scores more holistically, said MD of Research firm.
