VMware to hire 500 people in India this year

US based cloud and virtualization software and services provider VMware has opened a new campus in Bangalore with an investment of $500 million. This new center will offer “mobile and cloud solutions with an investment $120 million. The current manpower strength of VMware is 3300 in India and looking to hire 500 more people soon. Out of the 500 new hires, nearly 250 candidates will be for the R&D wing of the company. VMware’s global CEO believes that, India is a substantial element of our global R&D activities and almost everything we do has a representation in India. India hosts VMware’s second largest R&D center after Atlanta in the US. VMware is also want to be part of the Government of India’s initiation Make in India by offering the cloud services to the NIC.
