Uber to double its workforce in India

Tech Company Uber is planning to double its headcount in 2015 and creating new roles and job positions suitable for the Indian market. At present, the company has nearly 100 employees across 11 cities. The company is looking to hire project manager for engineering and products for India, besides a policy head and staff for its policy and communications teams. Uber is fighting legal and regulatory challenges in India. At present three to four people are working for dealing with policy affairs and it is hiring for the policy, government affairs and communications teams. The company also hired candidates from global business schools for its Indian operations this year.
