Rise in demand for senior level professionals

According to a recent survey it was noticed that senior professionals are in demand after seeing a four-month slump. Demand for the professionals over 20 years experience has been raised by 15 percent in June 2015 as compared to January 2015. Demand for the professionals with 10-15 years experience also raised to 5 percent in June 2015. Demand for this category has recorded 12 per cent rise in January 2015 and 2 per cent in February 2015. But it witnessed an average 5 per cent drop from March to May 2015. There was a 3 percent rise in demand for the mid level professionals and 2 percent growth for entry level professionals. The good news will be for all mid level, senior level with 10-15 and 20 years experience.
Online hiring activity in Telecom and construction sector reported a 4 percent rise in demand and travel and hospitality sector reported 2 per cent rise in demand. It was noticed that there was an overall 2 percent drop in month-on-month (m-o-m) analysis.

Among the other professionals there was 8 percent rise in demand for hospitality professionals. IT/telecom and business management/consultants/ freelance professionals recorded 7 per cent rise in demand during June 2015.

Over 2 percent rise in demand for accounting & finance professionals.
Nearly 1 percent rise in demand for logistics/supply chain management professionals.

Among metros Chennai saw maximum growth of nearly 8 per cent m-o-m followed by Bengaluru (7%). The next places followed by Vadodara with 9% rise, Maharashtra (except Mumbai and Pune) reported highest 13% rise in demand. Hyderabad saw a 7 per cent rise in demand in June 2015. Delhi NCR was the only metro to report drop (3%) in talent demand in the month.
