Many companies are offering work from and flexible work schedule as part of the employee engagement strategies. Many IT companies such as Google, Infosys, IBM and startups across industries are offering work from home and flexible work options to benefit both employees and employers. A recent study found that more than 50 percent women prefer to work from home due to the family and other reasons. Over 55 percent people prefer flexible work option rather than high pay and benefits. Here are some facts about work from home policies:

Meanwhile, 20 percent of the surveyed candidates mentioned that work from home creates communication gaps between teams and other 26 percent mentioned that they are overlooked for promotion.
City wise findings reveal that over 60% of the respondents from Mumbai and Bangalore prefer to work from home and 46 percent of respondents from Delhi and Hyderabad are interested to work from home. Followed by Pune, Ahmadabad, and Kolkata with 34%, 25% and 20% respectively.
Sector wise analysis found that IT sector tops the list of work from home providers followed by healthcare, education and finance.
