Number of working Japanese women reaches record high

The number of Japanese women teachers aged between 25 and 35incraesed in a recorded percentage. June surge funnelled an extra 250,000 women on to a Japanese payroll that now includes 27.72m female full-time and part-time employees. According to World Bank data, Japanese teachers increased by 46.5 per cent in the US, 45.9 per cent in UK and 43.7 per cent in China. Most of the companies trying to retain staff, have already started converting part-timers into full-time contracts, so this may be a stepping stone toward more full-time female workers. Where progress is most needed is boosting female representation within managerial/leadership ranks.
