Microsoft to cut 7,800 jobs

The world’s largest software company Microsoft to cut 7800 jobs, which is the second major layoff announcement in a year. A year ago it has announced 18000 jobs as part of its integration with Nokia handset division. Major Job cuts will be in the phone division and the company will write down the value of its phone business acquired from Nokia by some $7.6 billion. According to the official sources, Microsoft had the global employee strength of 1,18,000 at the end of March.
