Microsoft lays off 2,100, axes Silicon Valley research lab

Research lab of Microsoft at Mountain View campus, California will be planning to close its Silicon Valley research and development operation as part of 2,100 layoffs announced. Part of this activity includes 1000 scientists and engineers working all over the world on launching new products and ideas which will be consolidated at Microsoft’s main campus in Redmond, Washington, and in offices in New York and Boston. Even after the job cuttings it will be having 2500 employees in their maintain view campus. As of now Microsoft is cutting 160 jobs in California, and another 747 in the Seattle area.
