IIT Delhi confirmed that Mckinsey is offering off campus job offers to the students. It was confirmed that McKinsey has taken off campus route to hire fresh graduates with an annual package of Rs 15 lakh a year. “IIT-Delhi is not interfering in McKinsey’ changed strategy to hire from the institute,” mentioned a faculty at IIT-Delhi. Placement in charges of IITs in Mumbai, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Guwahati and Indore stated that none of their students received offers from McKinsey this year. Mckinsey will be hiring graduates directly through its alumni network, website and social media. Companies such as Zomato and Directi were blacklisted last year due to the low salary offers. Companies should respect the rules of the placement committees at the IITs. The placement cells are there to make the recruitment process smooth and fair for all the students. We are against off-campus hiring and would prefer that all the hiring gets routed through the placement cell at the institute.” said IIT-Madras placement adviser.
