Led by start-ups, 25% more firms line up to hire at IIT-Bombay

Over 400 companies visited IIT Bombay this year, which is 25% increase from last year. IIT Bombay students overwhelmed with the response of top companies. Startups and e-commerce firms have witnessed the largest growth and many companies across sectors have seen a growth in number of companies showing interest in graduates from the premier Powai institute. More startups and established companies offering salaries range between Rs 18-20 lakh. Uber will register for the IIT placement this year and other startups such as Grofers, OYO Rooms, PepperTap have also registered for the upcoming placement season. The placement cell mentioned that, over 150 pre-placement offers have already been made at the campus, up from last year’s 110.
