Juniper to cut 6% jobs, focus on high-growth business


Network gear market Juniper is planning to cut down jobs by 6% from its global workforce and projecting more on high growth businesses. Most of these termination will take place for middle level positions and it will exoected to cash about $35 million in first quarter for expeneses. As of december 31 the copmany had 9483 full time employees. The company said it plans to consolidate its facilities, disposing of about 300,000 square feet of leased facilities, and record restructuring charges of about $70 million beginning in the second quarter.
