The hiring activities in Indian IT industry is changing for every $1 billion in revenues. But there was more focus on newer technologies such as automation and artificial intelligence. Higher adoption of digital technology and faster growth made companies to hire more people. According to the reports of National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom), the industry is expected to have hired 14,350 engineers for each billion dollars in revenues for the year ended March 2015, up from 13,505 recruitments for every $1 billion in the previous year. As of now the Indian IT industry had hired 21,185 engineers per billion dollars in revenues in 2012-13, compared with 18,893 a year earlier.
