Intuit lays off staff at Bengaluru office

Intuit the US accounting Software Company to lay off nearly 35 employees including developers, sales and marketing staff at Bengaluru office. The employee cuts occurred across levels and roles and included product developers. The layoffs come when Intuit is selling its flagship Quicken home-accounting software, Quickbase software that helps developers build applications, and Demandforce, an automated marketing and communications software. These layoffs were part of the restructuring plans occurred in 2013. However, Intuit laid off 399 employees, who received severance packages and career assistance from the company.
