A recent Deloitte survey mentioned that Indian consumers are getting addicted to their smartphones. According to the study, smartphones have become a near-necessity as checking their phones is one of the first and last things consumers do every day. The study also mentioned that about 28 per cent of smartphone owners look at their devices 11 to 25 times a day, while 22 per cent check their phones 26 to 50 times a day. The survey was conducted among 2,000 Indian consumers as part of a global survey of 49,000 respondents across 30 countries. The study also found that communication services such as instant messaging and social networks are the first thing that consumers check on their smartphones in the morning.
