Many private companies of India Inc are working towards paternity leave options. Companies will be extending its paternity leave policy for young fathers-up to 10 working days, up from five previously. Companies like Godrej, SAP Labs, Sapient and PWC have been already amended paternity benefits. SAP labs facilitated that they can avail of the benefit for a maximum of four calendar weeks and within two months after the child is born. Sapient with a largely young workforce provided a facility that male employees can take two hours off between 9 to 5 for personal work. They can come back or even work from home.
