According to the contingent workforce report, India has been ranked among the top five nations globally. The report tracks the relative ease of sourcing, hiring and retaining contingent workforce in 75 countries. Among them India ranked in top five countries while Newzealand topped the ranking for the second consecutive year based on the use of contingent labour like availability, cost efficiency, regulation and productivity, followed by Singapore (second), Philippines (third), Israel (fourth) and India (fifth ). Countries are categorized under four categories and each category can be weighted differently depending upon the strategic priorities of an organization. The United States and Canada stood at sixth and seventh positions, followed by Ireland (eighth), the United Kingdom (ninth) and Hong Kong (tenth).
