It is also revealed that more than 10 percent students are interested to work for startups. Employability Bridge (EB) in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and National Skill Development Corporation has created employment opportunities for 6,000 students in 50 Tier 2&3 colleges across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Salary packages for the students of small cities have been reduced 30-40% as compared to last year. On average companies pay salaries of Rs 3.10 lakh per annum for fresh graduates, Rs 3.80 lakh for engineers, Rs 7.2 lakh for chartered accountants Rs 5.22 lakh for MTech students and Rs 12 lakh for B-school pass-outs.
