According to the recent report, the Indian consumer durables industry saw stable growth in hiring activities during the year 2015. The increase in consumer spending expected to increase the growth prospects of the sector. The first half of the year saw considerable rise in talent demand for sales and related roles. Experienced quality professionals are also in much demand. Rise in demand for entry level professionals across functional skills and experience, strong domain knowledge and problem-solving approach. There is also huge demand for quality and regulatory, security and app developer profiles are going to grow. Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Chennai created more than half of the jobs for entry level jobs. Hyderabad accounted for maximum jobs creation during the year 2015.
Demand for data analysts, digital marketers and brand managers to grow in 2016. Sales, marketing and brand management roles will also be in demand. Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad emerged as top hiring locations at middle level. Logistics, supply chain, IT and quality assurance roles reported considerable growth during the year 2015. Bangalore created maximum jobs for senior level positions. Metros were top job hubs and international locations also created maximum jobs across experience levels. Digital marketing, R&D and technology support roles to see maximum job share in 2016. Consumer durables industry is expecting a salary increment of an average 12 per cent and top performers can get up to 22 per cent. 2016 is expecting to bring many changes as the e-commerce sector is creating many jobs and more focus will be on targeting quality resources through focused search such as headhunting and social networking for senior and critical positions. Industry is expecting huge growth in hiring activities across the roles and experience levels for this year. Many companies are on hiring spree to expand their teams.
