PM Modi launched Digital India initiative on July 2nd 2015 to promote the Mobile Governance and local manufacturing of electronics. Digital India programme is constructed with 9 basic pillars which include broadband highways, everywhere mobile connectivity, public internet access program, e-Governance, e-Kranti, information for all, electronics manufacturing, IT for Jobs, and early harvest programs. Digital India is initiated to transform the country in to a digital economy. There are many schemes available worth over Rs 1 lakh crore like Digital Locker, e-education, e-health, e-sign and national scholarship portal. The other program that includes in Digital India campaign is BharatNet and Next Generation Network (NGN) which covers 11 states. It provides government services online to the citizens of India. The government builds various apps to promote Digital India programme mentioned below are creating number of digital marketing jobs in India. :

The vision of Digital India include digital infrastructure in governance & services and Digital empowerment of citizens. Digital India programme targeted to:

► 400,000 Public Internet Access Points
► Wi-fi in 2.5 lakh schools and universities

National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) planning to build seven lakh kilometers of optical fibre to connect 250 gram panchayats by 2018. Once the villages connected with internet they will be provided with public Wi-fi spots in ten states including Maharashtra, Madhya Prasad, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Haryana and Chhattisgarh. Many institutes are offering E- Learning programs and online learning courses to get quick results. The government expecting below outcomes from the Digital India campaign:
