Resume is the mirror of one’s achievements and will help a candidate in getting their dream job. An attractive resume can make your job search quick and easy. So, it is important that resume should be very attractive and should be an eye catcher. Many of them prepare resume just because they have to carry a resume while going for an interview. It is to be remembered that a good resume is the key for getting a right job and here are some resume tips to follow while writing a resume:

  • First and foremost, know the purpose of creating the resume and then plan to write the resume accordingly
  • Next choose a correct resume format according to your experience because formats will differ from fresher to experienced
  • Choose a font and maintain same font throughout the resume
  • Highlight your qualities, strengths and skills in bullet points
  • Usage of right keywords and effective titles is very important
  • Provide all necessary and important information first and then at last mention your personal details
  • Write a custom resume when you are applying for jobs that exactly match your qualification and experience
  • Prepare one resume for each employer. Most of them prepare a single resume in one standard format and send it to all. This is not correct as the requirement and the responsibilities may differ according to job. So, it important that you should tailor your resume according to employer needs
  • Don’t provide any fake information
  • If you think that some job experiences are not worth and are not related to the job for which you are applying then avoid mentioning those experiences in the resume
  • Don’t include any extra information that is not related and provide information that is relevant to the job to which you are applying for

  • Resume should be crisp and precise, should be within 2 to 3 pages and not more than that.
  • Update your resume regularly to attract recruiters. Because recruiters prefer the updated resumes more as compare to inactive resumes.
