The government of India is looking to train 50000 candidates to transform as solar professionals. The government is also planning to launch a mobile application to help solar product user’s access nearest available manpower for fixing snags. The initial target of installing 100GW power from sunshine by 2022 was fixed. According the MNRE secretary, “The ministry of new and renewable energy will invest Rs 220 crore for training 50,000 people to create skilled workforce which will be called ‘Surya Mitras’. We expect 15,000 MW of solar projects to be tendered this year.
