According to the sources of Flipkart it would be moving to an app-only format within a year. It was confirmed that it would follow the footprints of Myntra. Nearly 6% o f the traffic they use to get from Mobile apps in last year which was increased to ten times in 2015. Vice-president, retail and head of brand alliances, Flipkart said that they had more operations on mobile app in last year as compared to the web and desk top. As they observed that the traffic increased on mobile app, Flipkart’s move to app-only platform makes sense. As of now, flipkart does about 8 million shipments a month, and two-thirds of its online traffic comes from users in small cities and towns.
