Do you know what questions to ask an interviewer are?

Interview is not just all about answering the questions. In most of the interviews, interviewers at the end of the interview, ask ‘do you have any questions to ask’ to the interviewee. Asking questions in the interview gives your power and shows your confidence. You will also get an insight in to the company. It is also important that you should ask appropriate and relevant interview questions and answers. Most of the candidates are not aware of this and they put a blank face when they are asked this question. It’s better to prepare some questions in advance and also keep in mind that your questions should indicate an independent thought process.

It is very important for each and every candidate to research about the company before going to an interview. Try to remember points that have been stated in the company website for example: mission and vision of the company and also about their new products or some latest news about the company. Frame some questions on these and remember that you should not ask any security related questions. Some questions to be asked are mentioned below for interview preparation:

► I want to be in a position like you. Can you please give me some tips on the same?
► Apart from core responsibilities, what could be the additional responsibilities that I need to take up?
► Could you please tell me about the work culture of the company?
► How the company is structured?
► Could you please give me a brief about the job responsibilities?
► How my performance will be measured?
► Could you please tell what kind of technologies is being implemented or used by the company?
► Could you please tell me about the latest products of the company or plans for growth?
► What would you consider to be the most important aspects of this job?

► What are the most immediate challenges of the position that need to be addressed?
► What are the performance expectations for this position?
► In your opinion, what is the most important attribute / achievement / quality you would like to see from me within my trial period?
► When can I expect to hear from you?

Whatever the question may be, remember that it is in the interest of your job and the company. Know about the latest technologies and developments in the market and frame some questions on the same to ask. Many of these questions will allow you to discuss in-depth issues with your employer. Avoid asking questions that are already given in the company web site, provided to you in advance. It reveals that you haven’t done your home-work. Learn above and improve your interview skills.
