World’s third biggest consulting firm Deloitte declares 26 weeks of maternity leave from the existing 12 weeks. Even the big four companies such as PWC, EY, KPMG are in the process of extending the maternity leave from 12 weeks to 24 weeks for all employees. The companies have taken other initiatives also to reduce the attrition rate of women employees and retain the valuable source. Deloitte is introducing campaigns like “Bringing Women Back to Work” and “Men as Champions” to engage with top performers by offering agile or flexi-work policies at Deloitte and KPMG are being made even more woman friendly. EY and PWC is introducing a programme called ‘Maternal Coaching’ and “Bringing Women Back to Work” and “Men as Champions” at all its offices in India.
