Daimler Unit to add 1,700 engineers to India R&D centre by 2016

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), a Daimler unit is looking to hire 1700 engineers to its research and development wing in India by 2016. It is looking to hire top talent in the areas of big data and IT security solutions. MBRDI has its own research and development centre at Bangalore in different areas like emerging software, computer simulation, designing, telematics and solutions in the digital space. Currently they are adding 100 engineers to the 20 R&D centres in all, including India and China. The company has about 300 engineers and in the china in the US, it has about 600 engineers.
