BBC News to cut 400 jobs in austerity drive

World’s largest public broadcaster, The BBC is going to cut 415 jobs from its news department. These savings are routed to pay the license fee and these cuttings will save ├é┬ú48 million a year and next two years it is expecting to save ├é┬ú800 million which started from 2010. BBC News currently employs around 8,400 people, including some 5,000 journalists, the corporation said.
