A cover letter should not tell the full story of your resume but it should be brief and concise to focus more on solving the employer’s problem. Profile should be brief: Introduce yourself with your domain expertise in the beginning of resume with your core strengths and industry/s experience. For ex: I am an IT professional with an overall experience of 8 years as a java developer with top MNCs like so and so.
Highlight challenges: Explain the challenges you have dealt successfully. Employers want to hire the candidates who think of out of box and ready to handle any challenge in their way.
Do Research: Do research about the problems faced by the company and mention it in your cover letter that you understand that there is a need with XYZ Company to grow the categories in the ABC region. Mention your achievements that you have achieved in your career and able to implement the same here also.
Attract employer: Attract the employer by mentioning your key skills, achievements, accomplishments which are applicable to the organization and help you to improve your performance in future. Presenting the highlights in your cover letter will help you to get succeed in short listing process.
