Andhra Pradesh's retail policy aims to create 20,000 jobs by 2020

The Andhra Pradesh state’s Retail trade policy-2016 targeted to attract 5000 crore investments in to the sector and create 20000 job opportunities by 2020. Andhra Pradesh has a huge potential to become one of the leading destinations for retail trade. The retail trade is a key driver for socio-economic development in the State and will continue to be a significant employment generator,” Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said. This policy includes an investment of Rs 100 crore or direct employment generation of 2000 and setting up of enterprises such as distribution centres, warehouses and retail enterprises.
