30% of gender gap in IT pays: Report

An average male worker in the information technology (IT) industry earns about 30% more than a female worker by a report. This report indicates that man receives a gross salary of Rs 359.25 per hour; a woman earns Rs 254.04 per hour. This financial year has seen growth that women have participates actively in IT sector and find it hard to continue in long term due to family obligations. When women have been re entering to the jobs once they have took the gap due to family, kids and other conditions. If they reenter also they used to pay less after a long break. With more number of career breaks in their job history, the negotiating capacity of women in the labour market declines.
